(Finance) – The German economy slows down in the fourth quarter of the year.
As noted by theFederal Statistical Office (Destatis)GDP recorded a drop of 0.4% on a quarterly basis in the 4th quarter of 2022, worse than the consensus estimates (-0.2%) and compared to the -0.2% recorded in the previous three months.
Over the year, the figure corrected for calendar effects marks +0.3% also in this case lower than analysts’ estimates (+0.5%) and after the +0.5% recorded in the 3rd quarter of 2021.
