The volunteers at Fort Everdingen are delighted. The drawings in the fort are close to their hearts. When RTV Utrecht made a story last summer about their call to preserve the drawings, they also received some surprised reactions. Want to preserve art by German soldiers? “Yes, that may sound strange,” says volunteer Gerard Walraven. “We just want to show the past based on these drawings. Because no matter how you look at it, it is part of our history.”
