German Twitch streamers bet for donations for sick children, then the community donates €4,000 in 90 seconds

Twitch streamer metashi12’s donation stream has been running since March 1st. On the first day, the community was able to raise an impressive sum for children with cancer. Also thanks to another creator on the platform.

Which donation stream is it? The German Twitch streamer metashi12 has attracted quite a bit of attention in the past few days. The reason for this is the fundraising campaign he started called “MärzmitHerz”. As the title suggests, it will stream throughout March and raise money for children with cancer. This is where you get to the action.

There are also other big names in the Twitch scene, such as HandofBlood. The money collected will ultimately be donated to the German Cancer Aid and its German Children’s Cancer Aid Foundation. This is intended to ensure better cancer prevention and care for young patients. The money can also be used to support research.

Things have been going very well since the stream started on March 1st. So good, in fact, that metashi12 can’t believe it himself. In particular, the use of a Twitch colleague and his community made a significant difference.

The community donates €4,000 in record time

Which streamer are you talking about? The Twitch streamer Shlorox and his community took part in metashi12’s fundraising campaign.

metashi12 kept an eye on the donation page during his WoW session. When around €8,000 had been collected there, metashi12 placed a bet on his own Twitch stream. He would donate €500 out of his own pocket if Shlorox’s community managed to reach €12,000 within a short period of time.

When he first updated the page, he corrected his bet. He would donate €750 if the goal was reached. However, metashi12 did the math without the Shlorox community.

She really stepped up her game and donated a whopping €4,000 in just 90 seconds. So the €12,000 was reached.

The first stream was already a complete success

How did the stream continue? Apparently amazed at the quick success of his campaign, metashi12 continued to bet. If €25,000 were reached on Shlorox’s side, he would donate a total of €1,500 himself. This was also achieved very easily.

After just 29 minutes, €25,000 had been collected for children with cancer. A dedication from the community that metashi12 itself could hardly believe. He thanked his and Shlorox’s viewers in detail and promised to contribute €1,500 himself.

By the end of the stream he had collected €35,000. But that was just the beginning. As of today, March 4, 2024, over €89,000 has already been collected. An impressive sum that is expected to increase significantly by the end of the month. Especially when big streamers like HandofBlood and their community take part in the campaign.

metash12 held the same campaign last year. At that time, over €200,000 in donations were collected. Twitch itself has also donated money to a children’s hospital in the past.
