The charity event Charity Royale is organized every year by the Austrian Twitch streamers Rafael “VeniCraft” Eisler and willhaben. This year, the donation goal was reached after just nine days and in the stream of Heiko “CastCrafter” Husch, who broke Papaplatte’s donation record.
What is Charity Royale? The Charity Royale has been taking place every year for six years now, organized by the Austrian Twitch streamers VeniCraft and willhaben. It is a month-long streaming event in which each Twitch streamer streams on their own channel for one day.
Donations will be made to the Austrian Make-A-Wish Foundation. A foundation where terminally ill children between the ages of 3 and 18 can express their heartfelt wishes and donations are then collected to fulfill them.
The Twitch streamer Papaplatte is also taking part in the charity event. In the video we summarize part of his career for you:
The donation goal will be reached after nine days
How was the donation goal achieved? During CastCrafter’s stream, the event’s fundraising goal of 150,000 euros was reached. His community managed to crack the incredible amount of €82,281.76. The success moved the streamer to tears and he thanked his community several times.
In doing so, he broke the record set by Twitch streamer Papaplatte from last year. Last year, Papaplatte was able to achieve a total of around €70,000 with his community on his stream. You can see the spot in this VOD on Twitch.
Which streamers are there? Both large and small Twitch streamers can take part in the event. You can apply to become a streamer on the event website and also make a contribution.
The “main streamers”, i.e. big names in the Twitch industry, stream at the same time as the smaller streamers. The community then donates directly to the streamer, who passes on their sum to the event.
These big streamers will still be streaming:
Papaplatte is streaming on November 26th, so maybe he can beat CastCrafter’s record.
These streamers have already streamed:
What’s next? After the first donation goal had already been reached, the new goal was now set at 250,000 euros. But around 228,000 euros of this have already been collected, i.e. 90.83%.
It is therefore not unlikely that this donation target will soon have to be replaced by a new one. One thing is clear, however: several records have already been broken within the event this year.
CharityRoyale is not the only fundraising event launched by the German YouTube and Twitch scene. Loot for the World has also been an event for years where donations are collected for a good cause: German Twitch streamers are streaming for 36 hours for a good cause today – all information about Loot for the World 11
