German leader Olaf Scholz became the talk of social media! What he went through hit him in the face

German leader Olaf Scholz became the talk of social media

Germany is shaken by a budget crisis. So much so that the issue was brought up at the press conferences of the two prime ministers. At that moment, Olaf Scholz attracted a lot of attention with the moment he rolled his eyes.

Prime Minister Scholz and Meloni held a joint press conference yesterday in the capital Berlin, within the framework of the Germany-Italy Intergovernmental Consultative Meeting.

At the meeting where the two leaders gave information about the action plan signed between Italy and Germany, which aims to increase cooperation between the two countries, Prime Minister Scholz said that a journalist said to Italian Prime Minister Meloni, “There is a budget crisis in Germany. You talked about bilateral support for international economic financing. For Italy, “Is Germany still a reliable partner in this regard?” It was noteworthy that he reacted by “rolling his eyes” when asked a question like this.

Scholz’s reaction became a trending topic in some newspapers and social media.

BUDGET CRISIS IN GERMANY

On October 15, the German Constitutional Court ruled that the German coalition government’s decision to transfer 60 billion euros of unused credit from the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic period (from the 2021 budget) to a climate fund was unconstitutional.

Following the decision, the German federal government faced difficult decisions regarding the controversial budget.

The decision will now require the government to factor in an additional 60 billion euros and cut spending elsewhere, including on climate incentives, due to disagreement between government partners on tax increases.

The Constitutional Court decision, which prevented the German government from repurposing unused Covid-19 pandemic funds for green projects and industrial support, also raised concerns about the future competitiveness of German companies and job losses abroad.
