German giant Frankfurt is visiting Helsinki again here are

The groups of the Football Conference League have been drawn. HJK will face Frankfurt, PAOK FC and Aberdeen in the group. On Thursday, Helsinki Football Club advanced to the group stage of the European games for the third year in a row.

Helsinki Football Club will face Eintracht Frankfurt, Greek PAOK FC and Scottish Aberdeen in Group G of the European Conference League.

The conference league draw was held in Monaco. There were a total of 32 teams in the draw in four baskets of different levels. HJK was drawn in the third basket. Teams from the same country could not advance to the same group.

The German giant Frankfurt, which celebrated the victory of the European League the other year, will arrive in Helsinki for the second time in a short time. In August 2022, the team played in the European Super Cup final against Real Madrid in Helsinki. Real Madrid won the big game 2–0.

PAOK is known all over Europe for its wild crowd of supporters. The club has also visited Finland almost 20 years ago, when it played against HJK in the Champions League qualifiers in 2004.

The Conference League is UEFA’s third highest international competition after the Champions League and Europa League. The conference league has been played since 2021.

HJK advanced to the group stage of the Conference League by beating Romania’s Farul Constanta 3–2 on aggregate. The Helsinki club started the decisive second qualifying match from the chasing position, but won 2–0 against the Romanian club in the evening of Töölö.
