We didn’t get a new Olympus Has Fallen part this year. Gerard Butler has still been very busy in the past few months and has enjoyed new action films twice in the cinema. The nerve-racking fight for survival after a plane crash in Plane was followed by the war thriller Kandahar in August.
Kandahar on Amazon: The new action thriller with Gerard Butler is now available to stream
After Plane celebrated its streaming premiere a while ago, Kandahar has now also arrived in home cinema. You can now buy the film in three different versions on Amazon Prime Video. The new Gerard Butler film is in UHD, HD and SD as stream available.
The film is also available on SVOD providers such as Magenta, Maxdome and Rakuten TV. You can also stream Kandahar in the Sky Store and the Microsoft Store. If you want to put the film on your shelf, you’ll have to wait a little longer. Kandahar will be released on December 1, 2023 DVD, Blu-ray and 4K disc.
In Kandahar, Gerard Butler takes on the role of black ops agent Tom Harris, who is given an undercover mission: He’s supposed to sabotage Iranian nuclear program. Despite all precautions, his cover is blown. At the last second he was able to escape to Afghanistan, where a plane was waiting for him at Kandahar airport.

Butler has a busy schedule. Three sequels to his action hits await us in the next few years.
