When filming an action fight scene, it’s easy to miss a shot. But in a romantic drama? As Gerard Butler proves, this is also possible. During the production of PS I love you he transported Hilary Swank to the hospital. With a pair of suspenders. And started crying.
Gerard Butler injured co-star during dance scene: ‘I almost killed her’
On The Drew Barrymore Show, Gerard Butler explained the incident on the set of PS I Love You:
Working with Hilary Swank was so cool I almost killed her. There’s this scene where I’m dancing around in suspenders. […] During one take, one of the metal clips on the suspenders got caught on the TV behind me. So I crawled up [Swank] closed, the clamp got caught, came loose again and flew over my head straight into her face. She had an open wound and had to go to the hospital. After a few seconds the whole film crew was gone and me sat there alone in my underwear and just started crying.
