Charlotte Baris: Last January, you may remember that we were interested in the super electoral year which was coming in 2024. 3.7 billion voters, in 72 countries, called to the polls often with challenges for democracy . Among the best known, the European elections, the American presidential election but also important votes in India, Taiwan and Mexico.

In recent days, Europe has been watching very closely the referendum taking place in Moldova, where the “yes” to EU membership won by a narrow margin. And now it is Georgians who must vote. Parliament will be renewed for four years, and in this former Soviet republic, a decisive vote is being played out.
