However, Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) could be calmed down during the series because it and another figure were protected by a very special fan: Martin’s wife Parris McBride.
Arya and Sansa Stark were under protection at Game of Thrones
In an interview with Cosmopolitan, which was published in 2015, Maisie Williams reported that Martin’s wife protected her figure and that of her serial sister Sansa (Sophie Turner). At that time, the 5th season and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) were killed.
According to his own statements, Williams had liked to have her figure Arya and was happy to play the role. To keep them aliveshe didn’t have to personally persuade George RR Martin.
His wife actually said that she would leave him when he kills Arya or Sansa.
