Emblem of the city, the water jet located in the harbor of Geneva was born in the XIXe century as a pressure relief valve for jewelers’ machines. At a height of 140 meters, it propels some 500 liters of water from the lake into the air every second, at a speed of almost 200 km/h. For a superb view, go to the Rotonde du Mont-Blanc where a rotating photo spot awaits you.
