His name is Genesis Owusu. His name doesn’t mean much to you yet, yet he is the one who puts Ghana on the world punk map. The young 25-year-old musician, black glasses, black lace tank top, also black samurai pants, is an African warrior who has been fighting racial discrimination since his first album, released in 2021. He returns with Struggler (“fighter” in French). A new poetic record but above all carried by a rare urgency.
