Generali buys back perpetual bonds and issues new green bonds

(Tiper Stock Exchange) – generals announced one cash repurchase offer of its bond loan “€1,500,000,000 4.596% Fixed-Floating Rate Perpetual Notes” (XS1140860534) with an aggregate principal amount outstanding of €1.5 billion, and a new issue of a new Tier 2 fixed rate note maturing in 2033 pursuant to the “€15,000,000,000 Euro Medium Term Note Programme”.

The principal amount of the new Tier 2 security will not exceed 500 million of euros and will be in “green” formatthe fourth issued by the Group.

The repurchase operation, reads a note, is in line with the proactive debt management of Generali and aims to optimize its regulatory capital structure.
