On May 4, 2024, not only Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace returns to the big screen. We can also expect the publication of one new Star Wars series on Disney+. Specifically, it is the animated anthology Tales of the Empire, in which many well-known characters from the star saga return.
From Darth Vader to Grand Admiral Thrawn: The first trailer for Tales of the Empire surprised a considerable number well-known Star Wars villains. Now you can watch the first clip from the series, in which none other than General Grievous takes up his lightsabers.
Tales of the Empire: Furious lightsaber battle with Star Wars villain General Grievous in the first clip
Grievous made his most prominent appearance to date in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, where he against Obi-Wan Kenobi fought on the planet Utapau. He also appeared as an antagonist in several episodes of the animated series The Clone Wars. Now he’s involved in stories of the empire.
You can watch the Grievous fight here:

Unlike Revenge of the Sith, where Grievous went into battle with four lightsabers, he fights in the new Star Wars series only with two lightsabers, one green and one blue. He took them from Jedis in battle. Perhaps as the story progresses he can add another example to his collection.
But the focus of the story is on two other figures. On the one hand, there would be ex-Jedi Barriss Offee, who made her first appearance in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and was seen in The Clone Wars. On the other side, the night nurse Morgan Elsbeth, known from The Mandalorian and Ahsoka, is waiting.
