Gene Hackman and his wife died for natural reasons

On February 26, the police arrived at Gene Hackman, 95, and his wife Betsy Arakawas, 63, residence in Santa Fe to investigate a suspected death.

There, the two were found, and even the couple’s dog Zinna was dead.

The police have previously stated that nothing indicates that any crime was committed. On Friday afternoon local time, authorities confirmed during a press conference that the couple had died for natural causes.

Gene Hackman died of a heart failure. He already suffered from Alzheimer’s disease and had high blood pressure. The activity from Hackman’s Pacemaker shows that he probably died on February 18.

The wife, pianist Betsy Arakawa, is said to have died of a serious lung disease caused by the craft. According to the forensic doctor, the mortality in New Mexico is for a person infected by the unusual virus about 40-50 percent.

The forensic doctor suspects that Hackman died up to a week after Arakawa.

Found in different rooms

Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa will be found in a separate room, and are said to have been dead for over a week when the police arrived at the home.

The police state that it is not carbon monoxide poisoning. The cause of death for the dog Zinna has not yet been determined.

During his career, Gene Hackman received two Oscar statues. One for the role of the stubborn police Jimmy “Popeye” Doyle in “The French Connection” in 1972. And one for “Unforgives” 1992 (“The merciless”) where he played against Clint Eastwood.
