(Finance) – It will cost approx 80 million euros for the new center for cardiovascular diseases which will be built in Rome at the Agostino Gemelli University Polyclinic, in partnership with Rome Foundation.

It is a highly innovative hospital that will stand as one of the state-of-the-art facilities not only in Europe but also throughout the world.

The structure that will have, not only from an architectural point of view but also for technologies, an organizational model of the unique treatment offer in our country and among the few in the world for cardiovascular diseases, will be built starting today in three years. .

The project was presented today at the Rome Foundation by Professor Emmanuele Emanuele honorary president of the institution among the most important and active in the third sector: “the initiative – he explained – to which I gave without delay, since the beginning, being one of the inspirers my support, intends to realize the dream of every doctor and every patient, excellent but sustainable care, cutting-edge technologies, personalization of the patient care path “.

Gemelli University Polyclinic he explained the innovations of the project which will be called Cuore. “The current system, said the cardiac surgeon, ‘although it has contributed to an undisputed advancement of treatments with specific skills, it has led to a super-specialized medicine that can unfortunately lead to a fragmentation of treatments with the risk of a loss of curative effectiveness”.

The new hospital focuses on the patient in the quality of interventions in all phases of hospitalization.

The most innovative technologies, together with the best specialized skills, will revolve around the patient who will be treated following a shared clinical-care pathway inspired by international guidelines.
