(Finance) – The European Commission has revised upwards the estimate on the growth of the GDP of Italy 2021 to + 6.5%, while it has revised down that on this year to 4.1% and confirmed the + 2.3% of 2023. The data are contained in the forecasts interim winter figures, a partial update of the estimates that three months ago on the Italian GDP indicated respectively 6.2% on 2021, 4.3% on 2022 and 2.3% on 2023.
The European Commission then revised its forecasts upwards inflation in Italy, especially this year as for the Euro area as a whole: now estimates 1.9% over 2021, 3.8% over 2022 and 1.6% in 2023, against 1.8% respectively, 2.1% and 1.4% three months ago.
