The temporary pier in Gaza is supposed to be put into use again on Wednesday, according to the AP news agency based on its official sources.
The jetty is to be used for the next few days to deliver the humanitarian aid that has accumulated in Cyprus, after which it is to be permanently decommissioned.
US forces decommissioned the pier at the end of June and moved it to Israel’s port of Ashdod.
The use of the pier has been hampered by challenging weather and safety problems.
