CONDEMNED THE SHOOTING OF UNIFIL SOLDIER
Dujarric stated that the UN condemned the injury of a soldier of the United Nations Interim Peace Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), who was serving on the Lebanon-Israel border, as a result of fire opened from an unknown source.
Pointing out that the security of UN personnel and facilities must be ensured, Dujarric reiterated his call to reduce tensions so that the conflict does not spread to a wider region.
