Israel returned 80 unidentified Palestinian bodies to the Gaza Strip, the Hamas-run Gaza Civil Defense Authority announced on Monday.
The bodies were buried in a mass grave in southern Gaza near the city of Khan Yunis.
According to the head of the civil defense, Israel did not release any information about the bodies, such as the names of the dead or where the bodies were found.
The Israeli army did not immediately comment on the matter.
In December, Hamas government sources said that Israel returned the bodies of 80 Palestinians killed in Gaza after removing them from morgues and graves to check that there were no hostages among them.
