Gave daughter abortion pills – sentenced to prison

The woman allegedly ordered the pills online and gave them to her then 17-year-old daughter who was in the third trimester of her pregnancy.

The police began investigating the women last year after suspicions that the daughter gave birth to a stillborn child and then buried the child.

The woman and her daughter were later charged with aiding and abetting the termination of the pregnancy.

The daughter was sentenced in July this year to 90 days in jail after admitting to moving human remains. Her mother also pleaded guilty to that and that she gave false information to the police and violated the abortion law that applies in Nebraska.

Nebraska announced in May that it will ban abortion from week 12. However, it makes exceptions for abortions after rape, incest and where the mother’s life is in danger.
