(Finance) – On 21 August le gas stocks in Italy they exceeded 91.5% – with 178.72 TWh of methane – of storage capacity of the deposits national. This is what emerges from the aggregate data (Agsi) of the independent platform Gas Infrastructure Europe (Gie). At the same date, the fill rate of European warehouses was 91.32%, with 1,037.71 TWh of gas stored. As always in front of Italy there is Germany, first in the standings with 93.21% of stocks and 235.24 TWh of gas deposited. Third is theHolland (91.88% at 130.84 TWh) and 4/a is the France (86.79% of storage for 118.33 TWh).

“Gas storage is over 90%. I’m pretty calm,” the Environment Minister told the Communion and Liberation Meeting Gilberto Pichetto Fratin. “The plan to diversify the sources of supply is going ahead. We still have to add something on the regasification terminals which serve to give guarantee and security. Piped gas costs slightly less, but the regasification terminals guarantee that supplies can be obtained in the event of an imbalance”, he added.
