(Finance) – Weekly gas storage increases in the US. According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA), a division of the US Department of Energy, gas storage in the week ending October 20, 2023 was growth of 74 BCF (billion cubic feet).
The figure turns out to be slightly lower than consensus (+80 BCF). The week before there was an increase of 97 BCF.
Total inventories therefore reached 3,700 billion cubic feet, an increase of 9.2% compared to a year ago (when they were equal to 3,387) and an increase of 5.2% compared to the average of the last five years of 3,517 BCF.
