For almost 60 years have Cecilia Wingård engaged in cultivation. It started with a few cucumber seeds in hand, and has now developed into a limited company where Cecilia imports sweet pea seeds, which she also sells on her website.
Wingård has also written books about growing, and on Instagram she is followed by over 40,000 gardeners.
It is sweet peas that are Wingård’s specialty, and in an interview with South Sweden she told me more about her business last year.
– Sweet peas are a good way to teach people to grow. It’s easy, it’s a lot and you’ll be happy, Cecilia Wingård told the newspaper.

In the episode of Trädgårdstider that was broadcast on April 2, 2024, the viewers had to follow the presenter Pernilla Månsson Colt, the gardener John Taylorthe decorator Malin Persson and the cook Adam Aamann when, among other things, they were to build a cultivation bed. But that was not what made Cecilia Wingård react.
It was when Malin Persson started with the sweet peas that Wingård was drawn to. News24 has taken note of Wingård’s report to the Review Board.
There, Wingård writes that, to her surprise, she was able to see her method used in Trädgårdtider – without any reference to the fact that it is her method.

“I presented my method in print for the first time in my book ‘Luktärt’ which came out in 2018, but it is easily accessible on my own website Blomstersafari.se Can SVT’s presenters really use other people’s ideas without referring to the author? I am originator and well-known by many who reacted strongly to SVT’s “Trädgårdstider” way of presenting my idea as their own. It may seem like a trifle, but to me it is important,” writes Cecilia Wingård in her report.
Marilinn Almgren Klevhamre on SVT tells Nyheter24 that the channel has no comment on Cecilia Wingård’s report to the Review Board.
Nyheter24 has been in contact with Cecilia Wingård, who has declined an interview.
