“The garden house really adds value to the care we offer, so we are very happy with it,” says care manager Jacomijn Wittenberg. “People still have the feeling that they are in a completely different environment.” Many people who stay in hospice spend days in bed. The garden house is a welcome distraction. “It is just very nice that we are just very close and that we can continue to care for the people, while it is still a separate room where they are separate from their room in the hospice,” said Wittenberg.
