Ganni unveils its first genderless line and we want it

Ganni is getting into “genderless” fashion with a line unveiled a few days before Copenhagen Fashion Week, during which the Danish brand will present its fall-winter 2022-2023 collection.

After a first collection size inclusive designed with the large size specialist 11 Honoré in October 2021, Ganni has this time decided to launch his line genderless. Title Software, it therefore offers pieces that can be worn by all genders: T-shirts, joggings, hoodies, dresses or even raincoats made of recycled polyamide, tencel, lyocell or even organic cotton. “I’ve always been super inspired by the different people who wear our clothes. The #GANNIGirls hashtag is a state of mind, not a predefined person or identity. It’s plural for a good reason: our goal has always been for as many people as possible to feel included in what we do. Everyone is welcome“, says Ditte Reffstrup, the artistic director of the Danish label.

Ganni parades its employees for fall-winter 2022-2023

At the same time, Ganni is preparing to present his fall-winter 2022-2023 collection during Copenhagen Fashion Week which takes place from 1er to February 4. For the occasion, the brand will distribute a video on February 3 at 8 p.m. on its social networks and on its website. There will be visible Ganni’s teams dressed in brand new pieces from the label, but also dancers and the Danish singer Jada. The collection, titled Love Forever will be a compendium of what the brand does best; pieces to wear in accumulation, graphic necklines, gathered dresses and addictive prints. Asked about his mood board for this collection, Ditte Reffstrup tells us: “Music has always been my biggest source of inspiration and for this collection I turned to my teenage heroines, Björk and PJ Harvey. I then felt an incredible energy emerging from their songs, their styles and their attitudes, those of true badass who radiated power while being truly vulnerable beings.“. She continues: “We really wanted to create a collection that presented a wide variety of options, with pieces that could be adjusted and a studied mix of power and fragility.“. The flagship fabric of the season? “Denim. It’s a timeless, versatile material and it’s my favorite. This season we’ve played a lot with colors, embroideries and cuts to show all the fantastic possibilities jeans have to offer.“.

Two stores in Paris in 2022

For a decade, Ganni has been gaining momentum! The claw, now at the head of 37 stores in Europe and the United Statesabout to open two shops in Paris where she already has a studio and an office.
