A young woman died this Tuesday after being hit, at her home in Marseille, by a burst of Kalashnikovs fired blindly, during a settling of scores between gangs. Since January, around forty people have been killed in violence linked to drug banditry in the Mediterranean city, a situation described as a “bloodbath” by the authorities.
