The 31-year-old gang member who was arrested at Arlanda on Thursday has been detained, reports P4 Stockholm.
The man, who is said to be part of the criminal Foxtrot network, voluntarily chose to come home to Sweden after being internationally wanted. He was arrested on the plane immediately after landing at Arlanda.
On Friday, a detention hearing was held in Södertörn district court, where the man was detained on suspicion of several serious violent crimes in the Stockholm area. Including for having kidnapped and killed two 14-year-old boys who were found murdered in Nynäshamn and Upplands Bro respectively this summer.
When a person who is detained in absentia is arrested, a new detention hearing must be held where the suspect is allowed to speak.
According to several media, the man has acted in the vicinity of the gang leader Rawa Majid, also known as the Kurdish fox.
