What is the schedule? The unveiling and release of new PS Plus Essential games is almost the same every month:
It has always been the same for the last few months, but there can rarely be changes to the process. Leaks have now also become part of the procedure – the games are regularly known one day before the official unveiling.
Once the January 2023 games are available, the December lineup will disappear. Move the games to your library beforehand:

Which games could come in January?
There are currently no credible leaks for the new PS Plus. However, we asked around a bit in the community and introduce you to a few titles that could be possible candidates for games in PS Plus.
Please keep in mind, however, that this is not binding information, but purely speculation and rumors that are buzzing through the internet:
The colorful sports game from Ubisoft has been on the market for a while and the full-price title is now available cheaply. On bikes, skis, snowboards or wingsuits, you fire across insane distances with up to 50 players in one race.
PS Plus would be a good kick for player numbers and such crazy sports games end up more often in PS Plus subscriptions.
The acclaimed indie hit has often been part of PS Plus speculation/wishes, but hasn’t been subscribed to until now. Hades is a cracking iso-perspective roguelite hack’n’slash in which you brawl your way through the underworld and knock out mythological figures.
At the Game Awards 2022, the successor Hades 2 was announced, which should go into early access in spring 2022. Possibly a good time for PS Plus.
A cute, colorful puzzle game with a dog as the protagonist. It’s a kind of playable coloring book in which you fill in the blank, black and white pages with invigorating colors. There’s even a 2-player co-op mode.
Already included in the PS Plus extra subscription, Chicory: A Colorful Tale is a cute little game for a fun visit – definitely falls into the PS Plus loot scheme.
In The Dark Pictures Anthology series, you will experience a completely new spooky adventure every time, which can be described more as a playable movie. In Little Hope you control a group of college students who have to escape from a spooky town.
Only a few months ago, a title in the series came into subscription with “Man of Medan” and it is quite possible that the remaining 3 games will also end up on PS Plus.
PS Plus Essential also comes with bigger titles in the subscription from time to time and these two have long been considered hot candidates.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a 3D platformer from Sony and Marvel: Avengers is a looting & leveling brawler set in the Marvel universe.
What does PS Plus Essential bring? The subscription is important if you want to use multiplayer on your PlayStation. Because few games open online mode without PS Plus.
In addition, you regularly get cosmetics or in-game currencies from various games as gifts and have an extra discount on some games. Keep checking the PS Store and checking out the PS Plus section so you don’t miss out on bonuses for games you find interesting.
In addition, saves can be moved to the PS cloud and there are monthly games on subscription. However, you can only use it if you are currently a member of PS Plus.
