The January 2024 PS Plus Essential games for the PS5 and PS4 have been officially announced. We will briefly introduce you to the games and show you when they are available.
What games are there in January 2024? In January 2024 there will again be three games that you can get with the PS Plus subscription.
When will the games be available? The “PS Plus” games are always available from the first Tuesday of each month:
A Plague Tale: Requiem
What is the game about? A Plague Tale: Requiem is the sequel to the acclaimed adventure game A Plague Tale: Innocence. Both titles focus on the siblings Amicia and Hugo, who in the first part flee their devastated home in France and have to fight for survival.
The reason for the siblings’ escape is inquisition troops who murdered their father and are targeting Hugo, who has special powers and can therefore control hordes of rats that bring death and destruction to the country.
In A Plague Tale: Requiem, the siblings now try to build a new life, but are soon overtaken by the rat plague and forced to flee again.
Like its predecessor, the game is characterized by its depressing and emotional atmosphere as well as the suffering of Amicia and Hugo. The PS5 version received a good 82 rating on Metacritic.
There is a lot of playful sneaking, fights occur, but are rather minor. The focus is clearly on the emotional story, the characters and the atmosphere. The story told is even described by some players on Reddit as “emotionally devastating”.

What is the game about? Evil West is a third-person story-based action game from the development studio Flying Wild Hog, released in November 2022. It can be played either alone or cooperatively with friends.
In the crazy western game you embody a vampire hunter who is supposed to free the Wild West from a sinister threat. You fight your way through hordes of vampires in “beat ’em up” style and free America from the nasty monsters.
Nobody Saves the World
What is the game about? Nobody Saves the World is an action RPG from DrinkBox Studios released in 2022 and can be played both solo and cooperatively with friends.
You embody the character “Nobody”, who can use a magic wand to transform into different shapes such as a dragon, a snail or a robot and tries to save the world.
Each form that Nobody transforms into has different skills, stats and attributes that help them overcome different dungeons. As the game progresses, you can also unlock additional abilities and combine the abilities of the individual forms with each other.
