Gamer buys a graphics card for €1,000 and overlooks the most important detail

A gamer wanted to upgrade his PC and bought an RTX 4080, but it doesn’t fit in the case. Now he has posted his mistake on Reddit and caused a lot of attention and unusual recommendations.

What was the mistake? As the affected person explains in a Reddit post, he wanted to upgrade his PC. To do this, he bought the €1,000 RTX 4080 graphics card for his PC.

However, when installing the graphics card, the gamer noticed that it was much longer than his entire case. So despite the €1,000 he paid for the upgrade, he couldn’t upgrade his PC. Now the gamer has to invest even more money for his gaming PC in order to be able to use the graphics card.

The gamer becomes a laughing stock on Reddit

Why is the Reddit community upset? Most users sarcastically point out that the manufacturers always indicate the dimensions of the hardware parts on the pages and that the user could have viewed them beforehand if they had already invested €1,000.

Others are bothered by the gamer’s dirty PC. The gamer’s computer has white parts with a lot of dust on them. Reddit user Jeremoi says: “If you buy white components…please keep them clean. 😭”

Willard_swag agrees, writing, “The interior of your PC is disgusting, lol.”

What tips does the community have? The community continues to scoff and say that you don’t need a new case for the PC. You can enlarge the housing using very simple means, for example with a hammer, a saw or a flex. Others follow the tips and suggest tools such as plastic knives, files or simply a courageous bite into the housing as an option.

Others don’t understand the fuss, Existing_Gate2423 thinks this is “Just a $100-$200 repair.”

The user named Apprehensive-Ant8292 then takes things to the extreme and suggests: “You can buy an extension cable – External GPU.”

The gamer isn’t the only one who has spent a lot of money out of ignorance, a grandma bought a game a whopping 26 times because she didn’t know how to delete the save.
