Star Wars: Outlaws debuted gameplay at Ubisoft Forward 2023. Check out the long trailer here.
It’s been known for a while that The Division creators Massive Entertainment are working on a Star Wars game, and now there’s finally more information about it. What’s more, Ubisoft immediately released a long trailer with 10 minutes of gameplay.
You can watch the trailer here:
What’s to see? You get to know the protagonists. We play Kay Vess, a criminal. Her “sidekick” is called Nix, a mixture of a small dog and a lizard. A change from the beeping druids that usually run after Star Wars heroes.
In Star Wars: Outlaws you will experience a more criminal side of the sci-fi universe.
You are a thief yourself and the trailer shows the escape after a theft. Sneak scenes are shown and how Nix can help to press levers or attack enemies.
But soon it comes to a shootout, blasters banging everywhere and a house full of enemies. The escape succeeds and suddenly you are sitting on a speeder and being followed.
After the pursuers are lost, Kay wants to hand over the stolen goods. However, the buyer is an Imperial and they flee again – during the negotiations the Imperials could have been bribed to end the day in peace. In the trailer there is a confrontation.
This time, however, it goes into the spaceship, away from the planet, into orbit and into a space battle. Hyperdrive Kay disappears from the system to safety.
How did that go down? The first reactions under the trailer on YouTube (via youtube.com) look excellent shortly after the trailer release. The presentation makes you want more.
However, at the top is a skeptical comment – it would all look too good.
But the majority celebrates the images shown. One looks forward to the expansion of the franchise and that there should be an open world is often mentioned as a highlight.
It is not yet known when Star Wars: Outlaws will be released. In 2024 it should be ready. You can find out what else there was to see at Ubisoft Forward here: Ubisoft Forward 2023: All new trailers – Star Wars, The Division, Avatar, Assassin’s Creed
