After the depreciation of the Turkish Lira and the games reaching the price tag of 70 dollars, the increase in game prices in Turkey continues.
In recent years, due to the economic problems you know, the prices of many products have increased considerably. Apart from technological products such as game consoles and mobile phones, there are great increases in all aspects of our lives such as accommodation and food. After the depreciation of the Turkish Lira and the fact that the games abroad started to be sold with 70 dollars / euro, an unavoidable increase began to be experienced in the prices of the games.
Game prices continue to increase in Turkey
The game prices in our country first exceeded the threshold of 500 TL, then 750 TL, then 1.000 TL, and we saw that some AAA games started to be sold for 1.200 TL in the past days. This threshold has now reached up to 1,400 TL.
When we look at the prices of the Need for Speed: Unbound game, which will be released on December 2, 2022, according to the platforms, we see that it broke a new record. The Steam version of the game is listed as 1,200 TL as previously announced. When we look at the console version, it seems that the normal version is sold for 1,400 TL on both the Playstation side and the Xbox side. In the special version called Unbound Palace, the price has increased up to 1,600 TL.
It seems that the 1.000 TL threshold will be passed very easily, especially in big-budget games. Currently, 60 Euros corresponds to 1.165 TL at the current exchange rate, while 70 Euros, where games such as Call of Duty and Need for Speed are sold, corresponds to 1,359 TL.
