Game of Thrones star Lena Headey is being sued for $500,000 over having her role in Thor 4 deleted

Game of Thrones star Lena Headey is being sued for

The upcoming Thor 4 is packed with characters, storylines, and cameos. Just the appearance of the Guardians of the Galaxy would overload most other films. The Marvel sequel balances its ballast quite well, as initial Thor 4 reactions suggest. But if really all the guest appearances shot had ended up in the film, things would probably look different: two of the biggest cameos were deleted, as we already reported.

Game of Thrones star Lena Headey provided material for a full Thor 4 role

That might be a bit much all at once, but you have to go through it: because it became known in another context that too Game of Thrones veteran Lena Headey filmed scenes for Thor 4. And not too few. For Lena Headey it is now very thick. Not only was their material also completely erased from the MCU blockbuster. She’s also now being sued for part of the fee she received for her work, Variety reports.

This is how Game of Thrones star Lena Headey defends herself

Headey’s former agency is suing for the amount she claims to be owed for arranging the role: 500,000. The lawsuit alone confirmed that Headey was in front of the camera for Thor 4 at all. And it gets a little more complicated: Because Headey is said to owe the agency a total of 1.5 million US dollars, which is made up of other commissions.

The company accuses Headey of breach of contract. According to Variety, the actress denies ever signing a contract with the agency, saying there was only an oral agreement and Headey was also represented by other agencies. In addition, the claim to Thor 4 commissions is void anyway, because director Taika Waititi approached Headey directly. A mediation by third parties never took place.

That’s quite a headache for Marvel scenes that we’ll likely never see. Details of Headey’s role remain unknown. Thor 4: Love and Thunder launches on July 6, 2022 in German cinemas.
