The new fantasy series House of the Dragon is set in the Game of Thrones universe, but 200 years before the events. Appearances by cast members from GOT are therefore almost impossible. However, an actor plays in both series and in episode 3 of House of the Dragon he makes his first appearance.
A Game of Thrones veteran plays the Lannister twins
Jefferson Hall plays twins Jason and Tyland Lannister in House of the Dragon. Cersei’s ancestors, Jaime and Tyrion, make their appearance in the third episode, Second of His Name. Of course, the brother duo didn’t appear in GOT, so who did he play there?

Jefferson Hall in House of the Dragon
In the first season of Game of Thrones, Jefferson Hall played Ser Hugh of the Vale. That was the squire of the King’s late Hand, Jon Arryn. While investigating the circumstances of his death, Ned Stark (Sean Bean) comes across the imaginary Hugh in Episode 4 (Cripples, Bastards and the Broken). However, he does not have a long life. Because at the tournament that followed he is killed with a spear by the Mountain Gregor Cleganepresumably to cover up the origins of Arryn’s death.

For Jefferson Hall that is Appearance in House of the Dragon kind of an upgrade. Jason Lannister is the lord of Casterly Rock and head of the family, after all, and his younger brother Tyland can’t complain either. Jason tries to win the hand of Rhaenyra Targaryen, but doesn’t make much of an impression. But the double role has a big advantage over his GOT appearance: the two Lannister brothers survive their episode. We will see her again.
