“Game deserves the hype” – Crimson Desert surprisingly shows almost 1 hour of gameplay and delights fans

After Black Desert, Pearl Abyss is now devoting itself to a pure single-player game with Crimson Desert. A nearly hour-long gameplay video has now surfaced that gives initial impressions of the game. Many viewers are enthusiastic.

What kind of video is this? The gameplay video was uploaded to IGN’s YouTube channel and shows what you can expect from the game for around 52 minutes. Crimson Desert already made an appearance at gamescom 2024 and uploaded several trailers for boss enemies. But such a long gameplay video has never been seen before.

But in IGN’s video, there are other things than the boss enemies that are in focus:

  • The protagonist of the game is Kliff. In the video we see how the hero moves through the world of Pywel and what challenges he encounters.
  • There are numerous dialogues in which the voiced protagonist speaks with various characters.
  • From idyllic towns to vast grasslands, different corners of the world are represented in the video.
  • He meets a group called “Black Bears” and shows them what techniques he can do in a fight.
  • Shakatu is a character who is obviously not human.

    • The video was recorded in 4K quality and stands out above all with its beautiful visuals. This not only delights us, but also many viewers in the comments section.

    Fans are thrilled with the graphics in Crimson Desert

    What do viewers say about the gameplay footage? The video seems to be very well received. After just 30 minutes, the YouTube video had 12,000 views. In the comments, there are many admirers of what is shown in the trailer.

    For JoeyGaming… both the graphics and the gameplay shown are on a different level. In his opinion, the game “totally deserves the hype”. Many agree with him, including GlanHuman. He thinks that Crimson Desert is the first role-playing game worth playing after The Witcher 3.

    A user named raptorrex can’t get enough of the particle effects. For Rurouni_Jayanth, the interplay between the open world, the fighting techniques and the music is perfect.

    There is also some criticism of the gameplay shown. User Rabbit finds it annoying that the sound of footsteps is the same on every surface. In many role-playing games, the sound is adjusted depending on whether you are on rocky ground or grass.

    Crazyooma, on the other hand, thinks sprinting looks too aggressive. There are a few small things that players don’t like. But the general mood in the comments section is rather positive.

    What bothers some, however, is that Crimson Desert does not yet have a release date. The role-playing game is scheduled for sometime in 2025.
