Galaxy Ring 2: the next Samsung gadget announced in a few weeks!

Galaxy Ring 2 the next Samsung gadget announced in a

Just a few months after the release of its Galaxy Ring, Samsung is already planning a second generation of connected ring. More efficient and more complete, these futuristic rings will soon be announced.

Samsung was betting big by moving into the connected ring market, but an unexpected success rewarded the South Korean company. Such an unforeseen success that the firm had to add 600,000 copies to its initial stock. Building on this commercial triumph, it is only natural that it focused on a new model: the Galaxy Ring 2.

While the project is only in its infancy, information is already leaking from the company. It was on the Korean social network Naver that a certain leaker, yeux1122, shared the latest clues concerning Samsung’s future invention. He claims that the Galaxy Ring 2 will be released sooner than expected, and that it will probably be revealed to the general public in January 2025.

A Galaxy Ring, but better

Samsung’s future model will look a lot like its predecessor, but important new features will be expected. L’ergonomics of the Galaxy Ring 2 will be strengthened, with a more durable battery and a thinner ring.

Samsung, which seeks to attract an ever-widening audience, should expand the sizes of its connected ring, adding two additional sizes to the nine of the first generation. Thicker fingers can also be crowned by the high-tech gadget.

The leaker also acknowledges that new features will be added, without further specifying what they will consist of. Rumors imagine seeing health monitoring or even contactless payment added.

The price remains unknown for the moment, but remember that the first generation of Galaxy Ring costs €449.99.

Faced with competition

Yeux1122 confirms at the same time that Apple is also working on a connected ring project, even if this information still remains very uncertain. Journalist Mark Gurman, known for his work at Bloomberg, assures that the firm did not dwell on the development of such technologies.

However, the rushed release of the Galaxy Ring 2 intends to make up for Samsung’s delay compared to one of its competitors: Oura. Released a month ago, the Oura Ring 4 presents itself as the number one enemy of the Samsung ring. With similar (if not superior) performance as well as autonomy and charging capacity, it overshadows the Korean digital giant.

But Samsung is looking to bounce back, and its project is being followed very closely. See you in January 2025 to find out more about this mysterious connected ring.
