On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Rolling Stones, photographer Gaëlle Ghesquière immerses us in 25 years of archives through more than 250 photos. She gives us a story of one of the most legendary bands in rock’n roll. Exclusive photographs, unpublished testimonies, anecdotes make this beautiful book a reference.

They are the embodiment of “drug sex and rock’n roll”: the Rolling Stones are celebrating their 60th anniversary this year. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ron Woods and Steve Jordan – who replaces the late Charlie Watts – have started a major European tour which will pass through France and Lyon on July 19.

Rolling Stones concerts, Gaelle Ghesquiere shot a few. Since 1995, this child of rock has scoured the stadiums to photograph the moments of communion offered to their audiences by the big names in rock. She opens her archives today, and publishes a superb book of more than 250 photos full of anecdotes about the British group.

The book is simply called “The Rolling Stones”. It has just been released by Plon editions.
