Unlike all countries in Central Africa, Gabon is one of the few countries that has no national language. Even more serious, mother tongues or vernacular are less and less spoken by young people. The observation is alarming: these languages are endangered. The government has decided to save its languages, swallowed by French, the official language of the country, but everything is not yet to the point to teach these languages in schools. In the meantime, some schools try to teach these languages with the means at hand.
