What another Pope, Saint John Paul II, recalled in his famous speech to the United Nations on 2 October 1979: political activity, national and international, comes from man, is exercised through man and is for man. This will always be our path.”
“Since 1 January 2024, Italy has assumed the presidency of the G7, a historic responsibility in a particularly complex time: challenges await us – he continued – which are “of strategic importance for our present and future”. During this year – Meloni further observed – 21 ministerial meetings will take place, some have already been held in the first months of the year, others will be held during the year, the main event will be the leaders’ summit from 13 to 15 June in Borgo Ignazia, in the splendid Puglia”. said Meloni, listing the many topics on the agenda: from support for Ukraine, to the conflict in the Middle East, passing through the issue of migrants and artificial intelligence which defines what many they believe to be – not wrongly – ” the greatest anthropological challenge of this era”.
