G7 countries review export ban | SVT News

The G7 countries are considering an almost total ban on exports to Russia, according to the Bloomberg news agency.

The goal is to gather the EU countries and step up the West’s economic pressure on Russia before the summit in May in Hiroshima, Japan.

Since the war in Ukraine started just over a year ago, many goods are already subject to export bans due to the sanctions directed at Russia.

The G7 countries consist of the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, Canada, the United States and Japan.
