The weather conditions were tough on Sunday when about 20 of the coast guard’s aspirants did their second day as oil cleaners in Pukavik Bay in western Blekinge.
Municipal staff and the Home Guard paused their cleanup work due to the weather, but the aspirants continued.
– It is extremely valuable to see how it works in reality. We will read these courses later in the education year and then we will have a much better picture of how the work works, says Anna Hadartz, who is studying in Karlskrona to become a coast guard.
