It’s been a long time since Fumito Ueda spoke. The creator of ICO, Shadow of the Colossus and The Last Guardian has been preparing his new game for a few years with his genDESIGN studio and used to leave us some clues regularly. Since the reveal of the main character during a visual unveiled when presenting his wishes for the new year 2021, it has been radio silence. But the Japanese game designer expressed himself in an article from Famitsu in which the newspaper asked many video game creators in Japan what the plans for 2023 were. Fumito Ueda explains”that he and his teams are working hard to make it possible to announce something in 2023″, and invites players to show their support. We remember that one of the few official images of his next game allowed to discover a young woman, seated on a stone base facing a kind of dozing monster. We know madly that Ueda-san still has this fascination between human beings and imposing creatures. The art direction is very similar to work already done by Ueda-san, and it is not impossible that we find connecting links with his first three games.
