A cap on fuel prices at TotalEnergies in 2024

TotalEnergies will maintain the price cap on its fuels at 1.99 euros per liter for the whole of 2024, announced Bruno Le Maire on RTL. Mr. Le Maire indicated on RTL that he had spoken with the CEO of the hydrocarbon giant Patrick Pouyanné who “made a commitment to maintain this cap at 1.99 on all fuels, for the entire year 2024”. “I welcome this commitment because it is real protection,” said the minister.

The extended zero-rate loan

The zero-rate loan (PTZ) will be increased to 100,000 euros and extended in 2024 to more households and more cities, the Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire announced on Wednesday.

The maximum amount of the PTZ “will increase from 80,000 to 100,000 euros”, the share that it may represent in relation to another loan taken out with the bank will increase “from 40% to 50% for low-income households”, “the middle classes will be eligible”, and finally it will concern 210 additional cities”, detailed the minister.
