APRIL FIRST CHANGES. The beginning of spring marks, as every year, several changes concerning family allowances, the activity bonus or the amount of the RSA. Here are all the changes that will take place tomorrow, Friday April 1st.

April 1, 2022 will see the introduction of a fuel discount of 18 cents per liter of gasoline purchased, a measure that is part of the resilience plan put in place by the executive in the face of the economic consequences of the war in Ukraine. . The revaluation of the RSA should also come into force this weekend, in the same way as that of the activity bonus. For energy renovation work, the Ma Prime Rénov’ system will benefit from an attractive boost in April. Finally, the winter break will end.
This aid in the form of a “fuel discount” was detailed on March 16 by Prime Minister Jean Castex during a press conference to announce the economic resilience plan. The amount will not be 15 cents per liter of gasoline but 18 cents per liter of gasoline. “The initial announcement was made excluding tax, said the Ministry of Finance interviewed by Le Parisien. You must then add the VAT which is different depending on whether you are in mainland France, Corsica or in the DOM-TOM for example .” In mainland France, the discount will therefore be 18 cents per liter of fuel, i.e. an expected saving of around 11 euros for a full 60 litres.
Will all fuels be affected? Yes, Jean Castex said in mid-March, with one exception: bio-ethanol E85 little impacted by the energy crisis and the outbreak of war in Ukraine. On the other hand, liquefied natural gas and LPG will be affected. This boost, valid each time you go to the gas station, will therefore come into effect this friday april 1st and for a period of 4 months, i.e. until July 31 inclusive.

And precisely, this aid intended for families with more than two children and under the age of 20 will be increased by €132.08 in 2021 at €134.46 starting the April 1, 2022.
Emmanuel Macron wishes to condition the payment of the RSA to a minimum of activity. This compensation desired by the LREM candidate aims to lead to integration and employment. It should be 15 to 20 hours per week. “Today, some people who have been on the RSA for a long time can no longer get out of this situation. The activity bonus is an allowance paid monthly by CAF. It is aimed at both workers and the self-employed, civil servants and apprentices. Its granting is conditional the applicant’s resources, which must not exceed a ceiling (read below). The amount of the activity bonus is €553.71 for a single person without housing assistance. On average, a recipient receives 160 euros per month. “The activity bonus is paid monthly“, says one on the site of the CAF.Beneficiaries of the activity bonus must declare their income for the previous quarter every 3 months, in the My Account space or on the Caf-My Account mobile application.“.
This activity bonus will be revalued at the April 1, 2022 to reach €563.68 for a single person without children. A couple should touch up to €845.52 in 2022vs €830.57 in 2021.
The allowance for disabled adults (AAH) is financial assistance that allows you to have a minimum of resources. This aid is granted subject to meeting the criteria of incapacity, age, residence and resources. It is granted by decision of the Commission for the Rights and Autonomy of Persons with Disabilities (CDAPH). Its amount supplements any other resources you may have. In 2022, the calculation for benefit recipients in couples will be completely reorganized with the creation of a flat-rate allowance. A reduction in the amount of €5,000 on the income of the non-beneficiary spouse of the AAH. Add to that 1,400 euros per dependent child within the meaning of family benefits. This new method of calculation should benefit couples in which the spouse of the disabled person has a modest salary. This standard allowance replaces the old proportional reduction of 20% previously applied.
And the AAH amount will also move at April 1, 2022. A revaluation of €903.60 at €919.86 is expected for this year compared to 2021.

A measure which should concern all aid application files submitted from April 15 until December 31, 2022.
The period of winter break starts on November 1 and ends on March 31 of the following year. It therefore ends on April 1, 2022. It is decisive, sinceit prohibits any rental eviction. If the owner can take steps, he cannot use force or resort to the assistance of the police to put his tenants on the street. Created in the 1950s, the winter break therefore protects the most modest when they are faced with financial difficulties in winter, but beware, all rents and bills are still due during this period!
All tenants are affected by the winter break, regardless of their personal circumstances and resources. The exception relates to “squatters”, that is to say people who entered the premises by force, without the agreement of the owner and without having signed a rental lease. The Alur law of 2014 had relaxed this measure against squatters, but the Elan law of 2018 reinstated it. Squatters may thus be subject to eviction proceedings during the winter break.
