The EU is currently planning a ban on food imports to the Union area whose manufacturing standards differ from the EU standards.
The purpose is to protect the Union’s own farmers, says the Economic Magazine Financial Timeswho points out with a plan to have similarities with the US President Donald Trump with trade policy.
According to the three sources of officials in the magazine, the European Commission will discuss the matter next week.
According to information, new EU restrictions could initially be directed at US crops, such as soybeans that have been grown in the EU using prohibited pesticides.
