FS safety plan 250 officers will guard trains and stations

(Finance) – The safety of passengers and railway workers it is the goal of a plan put in place until Christmas on trains and in stations by FS Security, the FS Group company dedicated to safety. An action program that will see 250 women and men from FS Security manning 24 of the most at-risk railway lines until Christmas Day.

The goal is ensure safety of everyone in view of the increase in passengers at the station and on trains for the Christmas holidays. In fact, from north to south of the peninsula, checks will be intensified on board and near the accesses of means of transport. Every day, more than 70 lines and stations and 1,300 trains will be monitored in the morning, afternoon and evening time slots

Among the 24 lines identified are Milan-Verona, Milan-Genoa, Milan-Brescia, Bologna-Piacenza, Venice-Udine, Florence-Viareggio, Rome-Nettuno, Reggio Calabria-Lamezia, Naples Campi Flegrei-Salerno and in Sicily the Palermo-Termini Imerese and the Messina-Patti.
