FS Italiane Group first half results up with passenger recovery

(Finance) – Il Board of Directors FS Italiane Group, chaired by the President Nicoletta Giadrossitoday approved the half-yearly financial report relating to the consolidated half-year to 30 June 2023.

All the main economic margins improved of the Group led by Luigi Ferraris compared to the same period in 2022. EBITDA grows by 7.4% to 974 million euros and EBIT of 18.2% to 99 million euros. The first half of 2023 closes with Net income of positive period of 4 million euros (-91.4% compared to the first half of 2022).

The good performance of FS was driven by the strong recovery in the number of passengers transported which return to settle to pre-pandemic levels. They also grow operating revenuesreaching i 7.1 billion euros (+15.8% compared to the first half of 2022).

Thanks also to the impulse of the PNRR, the investments recorded a strong increasein particular, in the Infrastructure Hub reaching 6.6 billion euros (+64.2% compared to the first half of 2022). There Net Financial Position is equal to 9.7 billion euros (it was equal to 7.6 billion euros at the end of 2022).
