FS Italian Tourist Trains new connections to Salento and the

(Telestock) – FS Italian Tourist Trains, company of the FS Group Passenger Hub, enriches the summer offer with two new connections: Rome-Lecce And Milan-Nice. A remodulation of services, towards Salento with a night train and towards the French Riviera with a daytime Express, which arises from the need to respond quickly to the growing tourist demand, inside and outside national borders.

The Rome-Lecce connection is an absolute novelty. It starts on July 18th to offer a new holiday experience to support sustainable and quality tourism, which will help meet the mobility needs to and from Puglia. The train will stop in Caserta and then proceed, without further stops during the night, towards Puglia. Here it will stop at Bari Centrale, Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, Fasano, Ostuni, Carovigno, Brindisi and Lecce. The comfort of the sleeping cars is combined with the restaurant service in the dedicated carriage and the possibility of bringing luggage and sports equipment on board, thanks to a dedicated carriage.

The other new feature of the summer for FS Treni Turistici Italiani is the‘Riviera Express. From August 3 to September 1, the train departing from Milan will arrive in Nice, with stops in Menton and Monaco-Principality of Monte Carlo. In Nice, travelers will also be able to benefit from connections with the French railways to continue towards Cannes and Marseille. The international service was made possible thanks to the availability of SNCF Reseau, the French infrastructure manager, and the collaboration between FS Treni Turistici Italiani and Trenitalia France, the Polo Passeggeri company that operates in France.

“These new connections – he explains Luigi Cantamessa, CEO of FS Italian Tourist Trains – confirm the great versatility that distinguishes us and mark a further step forward towards increasingly high-quality and efficient tourism. We intend to offer a different service, with high levels of comfort and privacy, guaranteed with the exclusive use of the compartment and with a hotellerie that moves, able to understand the customer’s satisfaction and build the composition of the train accordingly. The holiday begins on the train and the large windows of our vehicles allow you to appreciate the beauty of our country also thanks to the pleasure of travelling at another railway speed”.

The two new connections join theVersilia Express from Milan to Livorno and to theCadore Express connecting Rome to Cortina. Tickets can be purchased on the FS TTI website and on Trenitalia sales channels.
