(Finance) – 2022, which has just ended, was a year with important results for the Infrastructure pole of the FS group driven by frywhich he launched on the market 283 new races for over 25 billion eurosof which more than 10 billion for works in the PNRR. Italferr, a company of the FS Group, has played a fundamental role in the realization of many projects. Indeed, the FS Group engineering company supported RFI throughout the project approval process, managing the interfaces with local and institutional stakeholders, oversaw the preparation of the technical-economic documentation for all tenders and the verification of the final projects and technical-economic feasibility for validation purposes.
As stated on FS News, Italferr has developed overall projects for an amount of work based on the tender equal to approximately 13 billion euros. Among the main stand out the tenders for interventions included in the PNRRsuch as various lots of the Palermo-Catania-Messina line, the Trento ring road and the Battipaglia-Romagnano section, the first lot of the new HS/HC Salerno-Reggio Calabria line.
Also for Italferr, 2022 ended with numbers important. More than 2,400 les shop assistants managed in Italy for a total production value of approximately 335 million euros. For the plan ERTMS, as part of the PNRR objectives which envisage the installation of the most advanced train spacing system on 3,400 kilometers of the Italian railway network, Italferr supported RFI in achieving the challenging objective of awarding the two framework agreements within the terms established by the National Recovery and Resilience. Furthermore, during 2022, the company was engaged in the drafting of 25 projects, launching the first 2 technological multidisciplinary construction sites in Sicily.
In this scenario the process is central digitization. A turning point, that of digital, also for the world of construction sites. In fact, Italferr, as part of its supervision and construction management activities, has launched a series of initiatives to digitize and innovate its processes in order to make them more efficient and effective, also by providing for differentiated upgradings for integrated contracts, no-captive orders rather than technological projects such as ERTMS.
The activities of Italferr have naturally also found space on the market abroad, where the company exports its know-how and services for the development of complex projects to various parts of the world and is today mainly engaged in Europe, India, Asia and South America, where Italferr develops the largest volume of business. During 2022 it consolidated its presence in countries of strategic interest, including the Baltic Countries, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan and built new establishments in countries such as France and Canada, winning important contracts for a total value of 32.6 million EUR.
